How to Request a Temporary Zoom Phone License

Why do I need to request a Zoom Phone License?

If you need to make external calls and the Zoom Phone tab is not available in your Zoom client, you must request a Zoom Phone license.

There are two ways to request a Zoom Phone license: via the Okta Dashboard or through Slack.


  1. Requesting Zoom Phone via Okta Dashboard:

    • Go to ww.okta.com and sign in.
    • Search for the Okta Access Requests tile.
    • Search for Zoom Phone for Registered Dietitians.
    • Click Request Access.
    • Click Submit.
    • This request will auto-approve, and Zoom Phone provisioning typically completes within 1–2 minutes.
    • Once provisioning is complete, the Phone tab will appear in your Zoom client.
    • Zoom Phone access is temporary and valid for 24 hours from the time of the request.

  2. Requesting Zoom Phone via Slack:

    • From Slack, in any channel or direct message, type /access Zoom and press Enter.
    • Click I need something else.
    • In the search bar, enter Zoom Phone for Registered Dietitians.
    • Click Continue.
    • This request will auto-approve, and Zoom Phone provisioning typically completes within 1–2 minutes.
    • Once provisioning is complete, the Phone tab will appear in your Zoom client.
    • Zoom Phone access is temporary and valid for 24 hours from the time of the request.
