Step 1: Mac Configuration Instructions


  1. Power on your Device.
  2. Select your Country or Region and click on Continue.
  3. At the Accessibility Screen, select Vision, Motor, Hearing, and/or Cognitive if needed, or select Not Now.
  4. Select your Wi-Fi network, enter your password, and click Continue.
  5. On the Remote Management screen click Enroll.
  6. Enter your Weight Watchers OKTA Username (UserName = First.Last) and Password and click Sign In.
  7. Click on Send Push and accept the push notification on your mobile device.
  8. On the Create a Computer Account screen, PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE THE FULL NAME OR ACCOUNT NAME and enter your password twice and then click Continue.
  9. In the next window, click Enable Location Services on this Mac and click Continue.
  10. Please select a finger of your choice and place it on the Touch ID to enroll in Touch ID. Afterward, click Continue. This will allow you to use your finger as a password for most functions on your Mac.
  11. Once you've viewed the Mac Desktop, please be patient and wait for the Welcome Window to appear. This installation process typically takes around 15 to 30 minutes as your Weight Watchers birthright applications download and install on your Mac.

(At this stage, we recommend taking a break and allowing your device to complete the installation of the necessary software before you begin using it.)

Please wait for the FileVault notification popup before proceeding to step 2 below.


Step 2: FileVault notification


Upon returning from your break, you will observe a notification appearing among others at the top right of the screen.

  1. Click on the FileVault Notification option, then select Logout.
  2. Re-enter your credentials to log in with your username (Username = First.Last or First Last) and password.
  3. Shortly after logging in, you'll encounter two popup messages with the following instructions:
    • To enable FileVault, click on Enable Now.
    • In response to the next message, click on OK.

Step 3: Configuring Google Chrome as Your Default Browser


  1. Press Command and Spacebar simultaneously on your keyboard, type Google Chrome into the Search field, and select the Google Chrome application to open it.
  2. Click on Already a Chrome User and then click Sign in.
  3. Enter your WW email address and click "Next".
  4. Provide your FirstName.LastName and Password, then click Sign in.
  5. Click on Select next to Get a Push Notification and confirm by selecting Yes on the notification you receive on your mobile device from the Okta Verify app.
  6. Click Yes I'm in, and then click Continue.
  7. To complete the process, click on Set as Default.

Google Chrome configuration is complete.


Step 4: Accessing AppGate and Signing In


  1. Press Command and Spacebar simultaneously on your keyboard, type AppGate into the Search field, and select the AppGate app to open it.
  2. Click on Profile and choose the profile that applies to you.
  3. Below, click on SIGN IN WITH PROVIDER.
  4. A new tab in Google Chrome will open. Enter your Weight Watchers User ID (FirstName.LastName) and the password you created earlier, then click Sign in.
  5. You will receive an OKTA MFA prompt on your mobile device; please select Approved.

You have now successfully connected to AppGate.
