What to expect after you provided your Shipping Address
You will receive 2 emails from Rogers, one with your Order Confirmation and one with Tracking information about your delivery. Please note that a signature will be required upon delivery, so someone should be available to accept it.
You will receive 1 or 2 boxes containing an iPad Case and an iPad Generation 11.
What's New with This iPad
Lighter carrying case.
USB-C Power Cable (you will not be able to use the old cable).
Touch ID: Once you log into the device, you can use your fingerprint to unlock the iPad for faster access.
Cellular Services: This iPad has built-in cellular service, allowing you to connect to the internet even when Wi-Fi is unavailable.
Cellular Data is built into this iPad, eliminating the need for a separate hotspot device.
Latest software installed.
Assembling Your iPad and Its Case
Unbox the iPad case from its packaging.
Unbox the iPad from its packaging.
Carefully take the iPad and securely seat it into the iPad case.
Take the USB-C power cable that came in the iPad box and charge the device for about 20 minutes before attempting to set it up.
Powering Up and Setting Up Your iPad
* The following setup requires a Wi-Fi connection (e.g. your home WiFi) to complete *
Press and hold the Power Button on the top of the iPad until the Apple logo appears on the screen.
Swipe up on the Welcome Screen.
Choose your Language.
Select your Country.
Tap Continue on the Appearance screen.
Tap Set Up Without Another Device on the Quick Start screen.
Choose your Wi-Fi on the Choose a Wi-Fi Network screen.
Enter the Wi-Fi Password and click Join.
Please wait approximately 1 to 2 minutes while the iPad is being activated.
Tap Enroll this iPad on the Remote Management screen.
Enter your Weight Watchers ID/Okta username (firstname.lastname) and password, then click Sign In.
Tap Send Push and approve the notification on your mobile device. If push notifications are not enabled, open the Okta Verify app to enter the verification code manually to complete authentication.
Please wait approximately 1 minute while MDM configures your iPad.
Tap Continue on the Touch ID screen and follow the on-screen instructions to place your finger on the Power Button.
Tap Continue on the Capture All of Your Fingerprint screen, and follow the on-screen instructions to adjust your finger on the Power Button so it can capture more of your fingerprint area.
Tap Continue on the Added screen.
Tap Set Up Later in Settings on the Add Another Fingerprint screen.
Please enter a 6-digit passcode.
Please confirm the 6-digit passcode.
Tap Continue on the Update iPad Automatically screen.
Tap Turn On Location Services.
Tap Use QR Code on the Setup Cellular Screen.
Your iPad will now open a camera screen to scan the QR code. The QR code can be found on the back of the barcode card that is affixed to the front of the box that the iPad came in. Scan the QR Code using the iPad. DO NOT SCAN THE QR CODE WITH YOUR PHONE.
Tap Continue to Activate your eSim. Wait a few minutes for this process to complete.
Tap Continue on Cellular Setup Complete screen.
Your iPad will now load the Home screen, on the Home screen tap Settings, then tap General and then tap Software Updates. The update will begin downloading and once finished, tap Update now.
Your iPad setup is now complete. Applications will start to be pushed to your device, and you can start using your new iPad in 5 to 10 minutes.
For Those Who Have an iPad Gen 6 and/or MiFi
24 hours after you complete the iPad setup, WW Corporate IT will send a device wipe to your old iPad, which will factory reset it. You are allowed to keep it for personal use, or e-waste it. However, please note that WW does not provide support for personal use of this device.
If you have a MiFi, IT will also disconnect that service. We ask that you e-waste the hardware at your local Best Buy store or any place that accepts electronics recycling.
