What is Island Secure Browser?
The Island Secure Browser is a secure enterprise browser designed to protect corporate data by isolating work-related browsing activities. It prevents sensitive information from being copied, downloaded, or leaked onto personal devices, ensuring compliance with data protection policies.
Please use the Island Secure Browser exclusively for work-related purposes.
Step 1: Download and Install the Island Secure Browser
You must install the Island Secure Browser client on every personal computer you plan to use to access work-related systems (e.g., Bedrock).
To install the Island Secure Browser, visit ww.okta.com, sign in, and click on the Island tile to download the software. Once downloaded, locate the file on your computer and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

Step 2: Logging into the Island Secure Browser
- Locate and open the Island Browser application on your personal computer.
- Click Start Using Island.
- Enter your email address (First.Last@weekendhealth.com) and click Sign In.
- Enter your Okta username First.Last. Please remove the @weekendhealth.com
- Enter your Okta password.
- Complete your Okta Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
Please pause here and carefully follow the steps below in order. Skipping any steps may cause issues that will require extra support.
Step 3: Google, TextBlaze, and Guru Sign-In
After logging in, you will see three tabs open: Homepage, TextBlaze Dashboard, and Guru. Please keep all tabs open for now—we will return to them shortly to configure each one.

Click on the Homepage tab, then click the Gmail icon. This will sign you into Gmail within the browser session.
When prompted:
- Click Continue on the lower pop-up.
- Click Allow on the upper pop-up.
- Click Allow again when prompted.
You have successfully signed into Gmail. You can now also access Calendar and Drive directly from the Home Tab without any additional setup.

Text Blaze is a free text expander application, available as an Island extension and as a shortcut on the Island Home Page. It helps you save time by automating repetitive typing, allowing you to save text as snippets and insert them using keyboard shortcuts.
Click the TextBlaze Dashboard tab. Select Log in, then choose Log in with Google.
When the "Welcome Back" pop-up appears, close it by clicking the X. Once signed in, you may close this tab.
You have successfully signed into TextBlaze.

You will receive an email via your Weekend Health account to say that you have been invited to the TextBlaze Organization, plus the Clinicians folder will be shared with you.
- Click on Join Organization; this will route you to the TextBlaze website and prompt you to sign in with your Weekend Health email account.
- Once signed in, you will see the Clinicians folder has been shared with you.
- To go to your Clinician TextBlaze dashboard, click: https://dashboard.blaze.today/
- Note: The Clinicians folder is managed by the Clinician Operations Enablement Team.

Guru is used for our internal web of knowledge.
Click the Guru tab. Select Sign in with Google. Once signed in, you may close this tab.
You have successfully signed into Guru.

New employees will receive a separate email with login credentials from Guru. This email will come to your Weekend Health email.

Step 5: Accessing Bedrock

To access Bedrock, click the Bedrock icon on the Homepage tab to open it in your browser, then select Sign in with Google.
You have successfully signed into Bedrock.
How to Set Up Your Bedrock Profile (Click to Expand)
In the account settings in the upper-right corner, please set up your profile as shown below:
- Your e-signature and credentials in Bedrock for prescriptions: Example: Nisha Patel, DO
- Your availability: sync your Weekend Health Google Calendar to Bedrock. This will enable you to see sync visits.
- Set your Sync visit availability.
- Note: You will need to set this up in order to see async visits.
- Please add a profile photo to your Bedrock account.

AkuteHealth
AkuteHealth is a comprehensive EHR (Electronic Health Record) and practice management system. It includes patient record management, appointment scheduling, billing, and other administrative tools.
You will receive a separate email with login credentials from Akute.
DoseSpot
DoseSpot integrates with AkuteHealth to enhance its prescribing functionalities.
Access is automatic via AkuteHealth.
Photon
Used to e-prescribe Compounded Semaglutide, Bupropion & Naltrexone, and Metformin to a partner mail-order pharmacy. Members who receive their prescription through Photon get their prescription for free. Photon is embedded within Bedrock.
You will receive a separate email with login credentials from Photon.

General Usage
- Can I use another browser instead of Island?
No. The Island Secure Browser must be used for all work-related activities to ensure security and compliance.
- Do I need to complete the setup every time I log in?
No. Once the setup is completed, the configuration is retained unless you clear your browser data.
- Who should I contact for support if I encounter issues?

App & Tab Sign-In Issues
- I cannot sign into one of the tabs (TextBlaze or Guru). What should I do?
Ensure you are using your work email address (First.Last@weekendhealth.com). If the issue persists, reach out to #it-support on Slack.
Camera, Microphone, and Speaker Performance
- Will using the Island Secure Browser impact the performance of my camera, microphone, or speakers?
No. Since the Island Secure Browser runs locally on your computer, device performance should not be affected.
- What if I experience performance issues (e.g., lag, audio delay, poor video quality)?
The performance of the Island Browser depends entirely on your computer’s speed, available memory, CPU, and internet connection.
Security & Restrictions
- Can I copy and paste content from the Island Browser to my personal computer?
No. Copying out of the browser is blocked. You can copy and paste only within the Island Browser itself.
- Can I download files from the Island Browser to my personal computer?
No. Downloads and saving files to your personal device are blocked. Files will open securely within the browser.
- Can I print from the Island Browser?
No. Printing is disabled within the Island Secure Browser.
- Why are these restrictions in place?
These measures are in place to protect member data and ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations.
