What is Island Secure Browser?
The Island Secure Browser is a secure enterprise browser designed to protect corporate data by isolating work-related browsing activities. It prevents sensitive information from being copied, downloaded, or leaked onto personal devices, ensuring compliance with data protection policies.
Weight Watchers Island Secure Browser Requirement?
Operating System: Only Windows or macOS devices are supported. All operating systems must be kept up-to-date with the manufacturers latest supported version.
Memory: A minimum of 16GB RAM is recommended for optimal performance.
Please use the Island Secure Browser exclusively for work-related purposes.
Step 1: Download and Install the Island Secure Browser
You must install the Island Secure Browser client on every personal computer you plan to use to access work-related systems (e.g., Bedrock).
To install the Island Secure Browser, visit ww.okta.com, sign in, and click on the Island tile to download the software. Once downloaded, locate the file on your computer and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

Watching the video will help you feel more comfortable with the steps outlined below and ensure a smoother setup experience. This video does not show the installation steps for Zoom on your personal computer.
Step 2: Logging into the Island Secure Browser
- Locate and open the Island Browser application on your personal computer.
- Click Start Using Island.
- Enter your email address (First.Last@weekendhealth.com) and click Sign In.
- Enter your Okta username (First.Last). Please remove the @weekendhealth.com
- Enter your Okta password.
- Complete your Okta Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
Please pause here and carefully follow the steps below in order. Skipping any steps may cause issues that will require additional assistance.
Step 3: Google, Grammarly, and Guru Sign-In
After logging in, you will see a total of three tabs open: Homepage, Grammarly, and Guru.
Please keep all tabs open for now—we will return to them shortly to configure each one.

Click on the Homepage tab, then click the Gmail icon. This will sign you into Gmail within the Island Secure Browser session.
- Click Continue on the lower pop-up.
- Click Allow on the upper pop-up.
- Click Allow again when prompted.
You have successfully signed into Gmail. You can now also access Calendar and Drive directly from the Home tab without any additional setup.

Note: You must check your Weekend Health email regularly, as this is where we will communicate with you.
Add a signature to your email:
- In your Weekend Health Gmail account, click Settings near the upper right-hand corner, then click “See all settings”.
- Scroll down to Signature and click “Create new”. Create a signature name and click “Create”.
- In the text box to the right, add the following signature:
RD Name + Credentials

Weekend Health E-Mail Address

- Scroll down under “Signature defaults” and select the name of the signature you created under the dropdowns for “FOR NEW EMAILS USE” and “ON REPLY/FORWARD USE”.
- Scroll to the bottom of the Settings screen and click “Save Changes”.

Grammarly Writing Assistance with Snippets, a text expander that helps you save time by quickly inserting frequently used phrases.
Click on the Grammarly tab to configure it.
- Select I have an account.
- Choose Sign in with Google.
- Click On Your Name.
- Once signed in, you may close this tab.
You have successfully signed into Grammarly. Do not download the Grammarly desktop app, you should only access Grammarly from your Island Browser Homepage.

Guru: Used for our internal web of knowledge.
Click on the Guru tab.
- Click on Sign in with Google.
- Once signed in, you may close this tab.

New employees will receive a separate email with login credentials from Guru. This email will come to your Weekend Health email.

Step 4: Signing into Slack

Click the Slack icon on the Homepage tab to open it in your Island Secure Browser.
- This will automatically sign you into your Slack account.

IMPORTANT: Check Slack regularly, at minimum each working day, paying close attention to the Announcement channels and the Weekly Recap that is sent out each Monday.

To receive notifications about same-day appointments, ensure you have Slack notifications enabled on your phone.
Step 5: Accessing Bedrock

Click the Bedrock icon on the Homepage tab to open it in your Island Secure Browser.
- Click Sign in with Google.
You have successfully signed into Bedrock.

In the account settings in the upper-right corner, please set up your profile as shown below:
- Confirm your Timezone is correct.
- Add your NPI.
- To enable notifications for same-day appointments, add your phone number.
- Click Save
CRM is a WW database that allows you to access WeightWatchers member weight logs and check Membership Type.
Step 6: Accessing CRM

Click the CRM icon on the Homepage tab to open it in your Island Secure Browser.
- Enter your Okta credentials to sign in.

Step 7: Accessing Looker

Click the Looker icon on the Homepage tab to open it in your Island Secure Browser.
- Enter your Okta credentials to sign in.

- This will automatically sign you into your Zoom account.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
General Usage
- Can I use another browser instead of Island?
No. The Island Secure Browser must be used for all work-related activities to ensure security and compliance.
- Do I need to complete the setup every time I log in?
No. Once the setup is completed, the configuration is retained unless you clear your browser data.
- Who should I contact for support if I encounter issues?
Please contact #it-support on Slack or open a ticket through the IT Helpdesk.
App & Tab Sign-In Issues
- I cannot sign into one of the tabs (Grammarly, or Guru). What should I do?
Ensure you are using your work email address (First.Last@weekendhealth.com). If the issue persists, reach out to #it-support on Slack.
Camera, Microphone, and Speaker Performance
- Will using the Island Secure Browser impact the performance of my camera, microphone, or speakers?
No. Since the Island Secure Browser runs locally on your computer, device performance should not be affected.
- What if I experience performance issues (e.g., lag, audio delay, poor video quality)?
The performance of the Island Browser depends entirely on your computer’s speed, available memory, CPU, and internet connection.
Security & Restrictions
- Can I copy and paste content from the Island Browser to my personal computer?
No. Copying out of the browser is blocked. You can copy and paste only within the Island Browser itself.
- Can I download files from the Island Browser to my personal computer?
No. Downloads and saving files to your personal device are blocked. Files will open securely within the browser.
- Can I print from the Island Browser?
No. Printing is disabled within the Island Secure Browser.
- Why are these restrictions in place?
These measures are in place to protect member data and ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations.
